Let's Make a Difference Together on 9/11: September 11 is now a federally recognized National Day of Service and Remembrance. In observance of this year's 15th anniversary of 9/11, we’d like to invite you to join more than 2,000 other New Yorkers to help pack more than half a million meals in NYC for families, seniors and veterans in need. No special skills are required. All you have to do is show up on time, ready to make a difference. WHEN: Sunday, September 11, 2016, All Day Beginning at 7:00 AM (You'll select a two-hour shift) WHERE: Basketball City, Pier 36, Manhattan (East side) This event is FREE! All volunteers will work for approximately two-hours. The first two-hour shift begins at 7:00 AM. When you click REGISTER, you’ll be taken to a page where you can select your desired shift. The purpose of 9/11 Day is to promote unity, empathy and service in tribute to the victims, survivors, families, and the many who rose in service in response to the attacks.
