100th Anniversary of Armistice Day on November 11. We will bless photos of your veteran past or present at all Masses on Sunday, November 11, which is the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day. Armistice Day is commemorated every year on November 11 to mark the armistice signed between the Allies of World War I and Germany at Compiègne, France, for the cessation of hostilities on the Western Front of World War I, which took effect at eleven o'clock in the morning—the "eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month" of 1918. Since 1954, this day has been observed as Veterans Day. You may bring a photo of any veteran (living or deceased) and place it on the steps of the altar, and they will all be blessed at the end of the Mass.
