Turtles Can Fly will be the first featured film for the 2016-2017 International Film Festival sponsored by the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers. It will be shown Friday, September 16, 7:30 p.m. at Maryknoll, 55 Ryder Road in Ossining. Everyone is welcome and admission is free. Turtles Can Fly is a 2004 film co-produced by Iran, France and Iraq from director Bahman Ghobadi. The film tells the story of refugee children near the Iraqi-Turkish border who await their fate on the eve of an American invasion.
